For a few months I´ve been meaning to write about the very special collaboration we have with Onora Casa…with all the preparations for our pop up shop in Condesa with Hauskaa, our showroom opening for “Abierto Mexicano de Diseño” in Barrio Alameda, La Lonja Mx, amongst other bazaars and the Christmas period, this post was on hold for longer than I would have liked.

Most of you might not know, but Anudando in its origins was inspired by the work of Maggie Galton, an amazing historian and long time expert in Mexican crafts. Maggie, one of the two owners of Onora Casa, has been working with craftsmen in Mexico for over 20 years and therefore has all the experience and knowledge to bring to life the most beautiful handcrafted objects you can imagine.

A few years ago, Maggie partnered up with Maria Haggerman, a graphic designer who is very proud of her Mexican roots, her aim is to empower and help Mexican crafts develop in a global world…For some of you, her name might ring a bell as her husband Alejandro González Iñáritu is quite a well known Mexican figure in Hollywood.

Together, Maggie and Maria make the perfect amalgamation, ONORA, the most beautiful interior design shop that only sells and portrays products for the home, created by amazing Mexican craftsmen with the highest quality and most distinct taste.

What is most wonderful of this new venture, are not the products, but the people behind it. After the introduction I have just given of these two incredible women, you would imagine it’s almost impossible to approach them. You are wrong; they are very down to earth, accessible, lovely people and I am very proud to say that our table runners from Aranza, Michoacán are now available at their shop.

Thank you Maggie and Maria for your warm welcoming! I´m sure this new chapter in your book that we have started together will be a very long and lasting one :)
